Come and discover the magical universe of the lava tunnels of the 2004 flow of Piton de la Fournaise in the town of Sainte-Rose with our instructors specialized in volcanology
• 2h30 hiking-caving circuit underground easy level accessible from 5 years old in a recent lava tunnel filled with exceptional basaltic formations (lava waterfalls, vitrified walls, benches, lava stalactites, lava stalagmites etc...)
• Supervision in small groups of 8 people maximum for more safety and conviviality.
• Specific clean and quality equipment provided
• Photo report and aperitif offered at the end of each visit
• Visits possible in French and English
• It is necessary to be able to walk on all fours for about 15 meters so to have sufficient mobility to participate in this activity

IT IS LOCATED ON RECENT WASTE FLOWS IN THE BIG BURN

From the north :: Follow St Benoît - Ste Rose - Bois Blanc;

After the rampart of Bois Blanc, once in the enclosure, you will find the guide in the 1st parking lot to the right of the RN2 (opposite the Car Jaune Vierge au Parasol stop).

From the South: follow St Pierre -St Joseph- then St Philippe-Le Tremblet

pass the first lava flow on the RN2 (2007 flow) and continue for about 6 km, you will find the guide in a car park on the left of the road (opposite the Car Jaune Vierge au Parasol stop)

For this 2h30 underground hike, please plan:
- Pants / t-shirt (preferably worn, risk of tearing)
- hiking / sports shoes
- a small sweater if you are chilly (23 ° C on average with drafts)
- Small backpack with 1L / 1.5 L of water / person
- Your camera if you wish
- Spare clothes which will remain in the vehicle for the return.

On site, we will equip you with knee pads, gloves, helmet and lighting.
