About this experience

"City Highlights, The Butchart Gardens, Butterfly Gardens, Wine Tasting, and the Craigdarroch Castle"

This package is the best of Victoria, We will start out by going to the Butchart Gardens early to avoid the crowds, and you will have up to 2 Hours to explore the gardens and gift shop. We then go to the Butterfly Gardens, followed up with a local wine tasting at Church and State Winery. You will then have the option to have lunch at their Bistro, or we may have a simple lunch at the Red Barn Market where they make the best sandwiches on the island.

From there we will enjoy a scenic country drive back to Victoria to make our way to the historical Craigdarroch Castle.

We will then follow up with a city highlights tour visiting some of most beautiful sites of the city such as the Lieutenant Governor's Estate, the Beacon Hill Park, Mile 0, Fisherman's Wharf House Boat Community, and Canada's oldest Chinatown. We will take the time for photos at the Inner harbor.

Stop 1

You will get to enjoy the word famous Butchart Gardens. This is a 50 acre estate transformed form an old lime quarry to an amazing display of plants and flowers, in a forested setting. This is one of the most beautiful places you will ever visit, no matter what time of the year.

Stop 2

Taste some of the best local wines on Vancouver Island at their beautiful facility overlooking the vineyard on the Saanich Peninsula.

You may also take the time to enjoy lunch at their bistro on their patio over looking their vineyard.

Stop 3

The Butterfly Gardens is an indoor tropical setting with an a variety of tropical birds, plants, and insects. Very neat place to visit,

Stop 4

Go back in time while you tour the home of the wealthiest employer in Western Canada form the late 1800's.

The Castle is refurnished in the fashion the family lived back in the late 1800;s, and filled with lots of literature about the families history.

We will drive through the largest inner city estate of 31 acres of beautiful gardens. We are not allowed in the house but we will enter the property and stop for photos and explore some of the beautiful grounds.

We will drive through the cities largest inner city park. The park offers beautiful gardens, wild birds such as mallards geese, peacocks, and a small petting zoo. The park is also home to the worlds tallest totem pole standing at 127' tall 7"

We will take the time to drive through Canada's oldest Chinatown, which is also home to Canada's narrowest alley way Fan Tan Alley.

Stop 8

Stop by to see Victoria's Fisherman's Wharf. Home to some very unique houseboats, local eateries such as Barbs Fish and Chips, and a few more..

Stop 9

We will stop to get photos of the beautiful Parliament Buildings. The Parliament is just as beautiful at night as it is during the day. It is lit up with over 3000 lights outlining the buildings beautiful architect.

Stop 10

We will stop at Mount Tolmie to enjoy some panoramic views overlooking Victoria and the surrounding area.

Stop 11

We will take the time to stop for photos of the beautiful and historical Empress Hotel. We will also learn of it history.
