In La Fortuna is a unique site to watch sloths, our climate, food availability, protection and the absence of predators make this area, and the property you will visit, a small natural oasis.
Enjoying this activity in at 8:00 a.m. at 2:00 p.m. or have a night hike at 5:30 p.m. Two-toed sloths are nocturnal, and easier to see them active in the evenings.
We will pick you up at your hotel at your chosen schedule and start this exciting journey into the sloths' territory, which is within a small family-friendly eco-project just 5 minutes from La Fortuna. The project has a path of 1500 m. (A little less than a mile) suitable for adults, families, and children of all ages; we will make a tour of approximately 2 hours in the midst of plants, a river bordering the property and of course you can not miss the Guarumo trees, the favorite food of sloths in Costa Rica.
During the tour, we highlight the importance of its protection, as illegal trade has grown due to its increasing popularity. Because of this, Ecoterra along with the Rodríguez family are maintaining this privileged area to protect the sloths. At the end of this natural experience, we will drive you back to your hotel
You must contact Ecoterra at least 24 hours before your activity date to confirm your reservation and arrange transportation, if you book within 24 hours please contact immediately. Use the contact details on your confirmation/voucher.
