Mutianyu Great Wall is located in Huairou District, Beijing, at the junction of the North China Plain and the Yanshan Mountains. It was first built in the Northern Qi Dynasty and underwent large-scale construction and improvement during the Ming Dynasty.
The Mutianyu Great Wall has a long history and unique landscapes. It is the essence of the Great Wall and is renowned as "Mutianyu stands out among the Great Walls of Ten Thousand Miles". The Mutianyu Great Wall is 5,400 meters long and is currently the longest section of the Great Wall in China. Here lies the unique Zhengguan Platform, with three watchtowers standing side by side on one, which is quite rare on the Great Wall. The watchtowers of the Great Wall are densely packed, with one every 100 meters or so. There are also perilous landscapes such as "Ox Horn Edge" and "Eagle Flying Upside Down". There are battlements on both sides of the Great Wall. The wall is well-preserved and well reflects the ancient charm of the Great Wall.
