Detailed itinerary

1

TERMINAL CRUISE SHUTTLE BUS. I’ll wait for you with a sign that says your name in “Largo della Pace snc” Civitavecchia. It is the meeting point and last stop of the port free shuttle bus (shuttle that picks up you from the boat). Transfer to Capalbio.

2

Montemerano is the hidden gem of this part of Tuscany. Built on a hill by the powerful family Aldobrandeschi, Montemerano is a place where we can still breathe the air as if we lived in the Middle Ages.
The town is completely surrounded by walls and the entrance is guaranteed by three doors. Inside you can visit important buildings such as the Church of San Giorgio (14th century), that is the main parish church of the village; the Pieve of San Lorenzo (built in the 12th century), a former parish church of the village that constitutes the oldest building in Montemerano

4

Pitigliano is something out of a fairytale: a place carved so deep into tufa rock that you don't know where the manmade ends and nature begins. People lives here from 12 century before Christ and it is also called "the little Jerusalem": for almost four centuries it harboured an expansive Jewish community. After that you will come back to Civitavecchia

Stop 5

Saturnia it's one of Italy's most popular hot spring destinations. You can soak in pools that are maturally 37°C (98°F) all year round. Unfortunately the sulphur in the water produces a rotten egg smell that takes some getting used to.
