Tiger Elephant Arena (Vietnamese: Hổ Quyền) is a relic in the ancient ruins of Hue, located in Truong Da hamlet, Thuy Bieu ward, Hue city. This place was a tiger breeding case and a unique arena that can not be found anywhere in the world. During the Nguyen Dynasty, this was the arena of the death war between elephants and tigers in order to sacrifice to the festival and serve the entertainment of the king, mandarins and people.
Vong Canh Hill (Đồi Vọng Cảnh) is known for its perfect beauty combining the natural water and hills of beautiful Hue. Owning a peaceful, romantic and fresh space, this place is a great destination for both domestic and foreign visitors.
Vong Canh Hill used to be the place where the Nguyen kings chose to take a rest and sightseeing. Surrounding the hill is a system of tombs of Nguyen kings such as: Dong Khanh tomb, Tu Duc tomb, Thieu Tri tomb, Xuong Tho tomb, Ba Cung palace,... This was also an army base of US Army during Vietnam War, and there are still some army bunkers left here.
Thuy Xuan Incense (Hương) Making Village in Hue Vietnam: Hue has long been famous for its many cultural and historical heritages as well as unique craft villages, including the Thuy Xuan incense and conical hat making village Thanks to brilliant scenery created by multi-coloured bouquets of incense sticks in green, red, purple, and yellow, and its time-honoured tradition, Thuy Xuan Village always attracts much interest from tourists, especially young people.
This area was built by the French colonialists in 1941 to store weapons. In 1945, after the Japanese coup against French colonialist (March 9, 1945), the Japanese fascists took all their weapons here, and the Nine Tunnels was vacant.
Under Ngo Dinh Diem's government (1954-1963), Ngo Dinh Can, with the role of "Landlord of Central Vietnam", renovated area into a prison for revolutionary soldiers and patriots. From here, Nine Ham Prison is associated with the barbaric crimes that the Ngo family has committed against the compatriots. These tunnels were renovated by Ngo Dinh Can into rectangular, semi-floating and semi-submerged rectangular concrete blocks.
The tiled bridge is a wooden bridge, 17m long, 4m wide, on both sides of the bridge there are two rows of wooden platforms and railings for back support. On the covered bridge, the glazed pipe layer is divided into 7 compartments, of which the middle is designed to be the widest and there is also the place where the altar to worship Ms. Tran Thi Dao is located. Architectural parts in the bridge are decorated with two types of sections: round and square. The bridge rests on a six-row support system with three stone pillars in each row. The bridge was built in the style of "Thuong Gia, Ha Kieu" in 1776 by Mrs. Tran Thi Dao, a niece of the sixth generation of the wife of a great mandarin under the reign of King Le Hien Tong, who spent personal money to build the bridge.
Dam Chuon or Chuon Lagoon, belongs to Tam Giang Lagoon, is a very familiar name to the people of Thua Thien Hue province, about 12km from Hue city center. Lagoon has an area of up to 100 hectares, is a famous eco-tourism area in Vietnam. Coming here you will have chance to take the boat tour to enjoy scenery and learn about the local fishing life activities with NET & TRAP.
