We will take you off the beaten path to discover Paraisopolis Favela (slum). Enjoy the delicious traditional Brazilian Feijoada dish combined with drinks and live samba music in a lively atmosphere at the charming “Bistro Mãos de Maria” on the rooftop of the community association in the middle of the favela.
Before lunch and samba music, take a 3-hour guided tour and feel what life in a favela is really like. Tour through São Paulo's second largest favela experiencing a different culture and getting an unique insight into the vibrant spirit of its people, especially the hidden veritable artists who live there.
The itinerary is made on foot and includes along the way the Estevão’s Stone House, the famous Gaudí of Paraisópolis, as well as the Berbela, who makes sculptures from motorcycle parts and any other material that could be disposed of in the trash.
The event happens every Saturday gathering local residents with visitors from various locations in the city and the world.

We will go to Paraisópolis. Welcome to the second largest favela in São Paulo! Once there, we'll take a three-hour guided tour through the neighborhood's narrow streets. We will get to know the life in the favela, its culture, its traditions and the spirit of its residents.
We will pass by one of the most curious places in the area, the Stone House of Estevão. Known as the Gaudí of Paraisópolis, this man makes sculptures from motorcycle parts or any other material that would be thrown away. Curious, isn't it?
It's time to recharge! After walking through the streets of the neighborhood, we will arrive at the Bistrô Mãos de Maria. This charming establishment is on the terrace of a community association in the favela. You will taste a delicious feijoada, this typical dish of Brazil.
While we enjoy lunch, we will enjoy the best live samba. Do you feel up to dancing? It will be a unique experience!
After six hours of exploring São Paulo's most authentic environment, we will return to your hotel at approximately 3:00 pm.
