About this experience

Get away from the rush of São Paulo and immerse yourself in nature taking a full-day tour visiting a city-protected park in the outlying area of the town. 

After pick-up at the meeting points, we drive to this impressive preserved park about 2:30 h towards the extreme of the city of São Paulo, but still within the city limits.

On the way, there are viewpoints with scenic sceneries, historic sites, small rural communities, all locations ideal for photo stops and contemplation.

Soon enough, you arrive at a peaceful private farm. The property’s owner greets tourists and wishes them good adventure ahead. In the meantime, she prepares a delicious lunch with fresh ingredients produced locally.

In the middle of nowhere, this untouched ecosystem are dotted with hidden gems and marvelous landscapes such as springs, waterfalls, trails, and small natural lakes.

Wildlife is commonly spotted along the trails, it's habitat of more than 500 different species of birds & terrestrial animals.

Stop 1

6h30 / 7h00: Departure from the urban area of the city of São Paulo.

We will pass to pick you up at the meeting points and proceed to this impressive preserved park about 2:30 hours towards the extreme end of the city of São Paulo

Stop 2

10h00: We leave the house of Mrs.Mara and enter in an area of Atlantic forest walking down on a more open trail that narrows along increasing the level of difficulty.

10h20: We go through an old historic charcoal kiln, where we can find different arachnids and take photos inside it.

Stop 4

11h00: We get to the first of the five waterfalls on the trail, the calm and refreshing “Oasis Waterfall”. Stop for photos and take a breath for the most intense part of the experience.

12.00: We arrive at the “tower belvedere”, an elevated area with a magnificent view of the dense Atlantic forest spanning along the vastness of the valleys. By this time you should feel immersed in an unique and remote region.

12:30: Arrival at the three waterfalls of the “Ray of the Sun”, stop for the bath, photos and snacks. Bring swimsuits along so that you can splash around.

14h00: Beginning of the return.

15h00: We take a detour from the trail to a last waterfall, the “Sagui waterfall”.

16h00: Arrival at Mrs.Mara's house for lunch. Come on in and relax enjoying a simple, but delicious home-cooked food with friendly service in a casual setting.

17h20: After having such an adventurous day, head back for drop-off at your place. On the journey back, we’ll cater a conversation to your interests and our expertise.
