Dozens of islands appear at every turn on a coastline cut by bays and peninsulas, that has as its biggest tourist attraction the greater one, Ilha Grande.
There are numerous activities to do in Angra dos Reis and all roads lead to the sea. With that said, we will then arrive at a marina to embark on a jet-boat joining a small group tour uncovering Angra’s main offshore islands hopping from one paradise to another for approximately 5 hours.
The two small stone islands are a scenario worthy of paradise. Almost twins, the Botinas Islands have calm, colorful seas and are a great spot to enjoy snorkeling. The bottom of white sand and the transparency of the water make the sea seem much shallower than it actually is, but it is around 10 m deep.
Cataguases island is surrounded by nature and has a very inviting stretch of sand, which is why it is a great destination for those looking to relax. Here, you can rest by the sea and admire a beautiful view of the coast. In addition to nature that calls for rest, the Island of Cataguases is also an invitation to take a delicious dip in the sea. In the region, it is possible to enjoy crystalline waters and relax in very cozy places. A tip is to practice snorkeling, as the marine fauna of the island also enchants visitors.
There are few places in the world that combine all these aspects. Ponta da Piedade is favored by nature and man, who built a beautiful little church on the rocks, which can be seen by all the boats that pass through the area.
At low tide, the Piedade church is revered by a narrow and small strip of sand, about 20 meters wide, which appears at its feet, dividing the waters forming two small beaches. The place well sheltered from the winds presents us with calm waters, suitable for swimming, diving and snorkeling, where even children can enjoy and play in peace. At high tide, the sand strip practically disappears, promoting the meeting of the waters, transforming the place practically into a natural pool.
Flechas beach is another option for fun. It is known for the excitement on weekends in Angra and its landscapes. Its main highlight is the sea of transparent waters, ideal for bathing. A tip is to take advantage of the local infrastructure, as the beach offers great bars and restaurants.
The farm beach has good range of white sand, it has calm sea, transparent waters, very suitable for a bath. Surrounded by preserved native forest, there is no lack of trees to shade this beautiful and simple beach. It is a great option for those seeking tranquility, where they can relax or take a delicious swim in the sea. A small restaurant serves drinks and good snacks, with a pier that facilitates the docking of boats with tourists. It is a good place to rest, eat a snack and take a walk along the long stretch of white sand, enjoying contact with nature.
Dentista beach is one of the liveliest beaches in Angra. With clear waters and lots of nature, the place enchants visitors with its surprising look. Finally, much appreciated by young people, it is considered an unforgettable destination.
After having such an adventurous day, on the journey back to hotel, we’ll cater a conversation to your interests and our expertise, whether that can be culture or history of the area or tips for you to take full advantage of your stay in Brazil.
If you'd rather spend your beach day somewhere that's just as gorgeous as Rio, but not so crowded, this place is the beautiful town of Angra do Reis with its transparent waters and the beauty of its surrounding vegetation.
