The São Paulo Zoo is considered one of the ten best in the world, especially for the diversity of animals it houses. It is one of the few in the world to have a complete collection of cats and apes. It has rarities and endangered animals, such as the golden lion tamarin and the giant anteater.

There are more than 3200 animals of hundreds of species such as lions, tigers, jaguars, hippos, giraffes, elephants, rhinos, foxes, wolves, snakes, tapirs, turtles, ostriches, peacocks, chimpanzees, gorillas, bears, alligators, orangutans, dromedaries and many others.

São Paulo Aquarium has a total of 15 thousand m² and 4 million liters of water where thousands of animals of hundreds of species live.

The aquarium is well structured and is divided into sectors that reproduce the animals natural habitat. In the first part, the scenario is confused with a submarine and a shipwreck. The highlights are the replicas of the giant Tapuiasaurus dinosaurs (11 meters long and 7 meters high) and Carnotauro (approximately 7 meters long and 3 meters high) - it's really impressive!

Another curiosity is Charles Darwin's theory explained in panels, with a selection of skulls from hominids to homo sapiens - quite a lesson on the evolution of species!

To kill these curiosities, the Museum of the Biological Institute has more than 25 attractions to learn about the way of life of bees, to see up close four species of stingless bees, to watch cockroaches speeding, caterpillars weaving silk threads, ants working in organized system and the stick insect, which resembles kindling.

The exterior of the Museum houses a functional garden with 11 stingless bee colonies and over 40 species of plants.

The visits are accompanied by trained monitors and visitors - if you want - can catch some insects, such as the Madagascar Cockroach and the stick insect.
