Option to climb to the viewpoint at Morro Rock and visit its stunning lookout point.
Pass underneath Tunnel Log, a tree so big you can either walk or drive under it. Additionally you’ll have the chance to gain another perspective of just how massive these trees are as you walk the length of Auto Log, a fallen Sequoia Tree.
As we begin our journey from the park’s entrance to the Giant Forest, we will drive on the Generals Highway as it winds its way along the scenic Kaweah River. Gaining elevation, we will travel through a diverse and changing landscape from dramatic flowering, cream-colored yuccas in the lower foothills to the largest protected Blue Oak woodland in the world. As we witness the steepest watershed in the Continental United States, we will also see the majestic peaks of the Great Western Divide of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. These epic views are not to be missed!
