One of the first stops is to admire huge basalt columns called Gerduberg, which are so perfectly shaped into hexagons that they barely seem natural. (may not be accessible in winter)

The Snaefellsnes Peninsula is often called ‘Miniature Iceland’ as basically every type of natural feature that makes the country famous can be found here, including waterfalls, glaciers, volcanoes, lava fields, cliffs and wildlife.

• Important: Please be ready outside your pickup location by 8:30 a.m. You will be picked up between 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. depending on the pickup list order and traffic. Please have your phone on and ready to receive a phone call during the pickup time if needed.
• Please make sure you board on a minibus with Gateway to Iceland and not with any other company.
• Pick up from some hotels in Reykjavik and otherwise designated bus stops. If you have put in a location where you cannot be picked up from, you will be contacted by email.
• Duration of the tour is approximately 11-12 hours.
• Warm, windproof and waterproof clothes and outdoor shoes are highly recommended.
• Food and drinks are not included in the price of the tour, however, there are refreshment stops on the tour, therefore you do not need to bring your own food, you can purchase it at the restaurant/café.
