This tour takes you to see the beautiful views of colors that this mountain tour gives us. During our trip we will also have the opportunity to appreciate the varieties of South American camelids, (llama, alpaca, guanaco, etc.)
Pickup included
Our adventure will begin with the pick-up from your hotel or the Plaza de Armas (depending on the location of your hotel). The pick up will be at 4:00 am to take course towards the south of Cusco towards the Qollasuyo. During the trip we will be accompanied by wonderful views of the Peruvian Andes as well as picturesque towns such as Checacupe which stands out for its beautiful colonial church and its bridge that still maintains Inca foundations. Other villages that we will cross during our trip of approximately three hours will be Pitumarka, Chilca to finally arrive at Pampachiri from where our walk will begin.
Already in Pampachiri our guide will give us some tips for our walk of approximately 4 hours of ascent to the mountains in which we will be experiencing changes in climate as we go up to reach the mountain "Vinicunca" or Rainbow mountain. During the journey we can appreciate the flora and fauna typical of the Andes such as vizcachas, eagles, lamas, alpacas, among others, such as the deer and puma that are rarely seen. Also on the way we will enjoy wonderful views as the mountains surrounding the road change color as we move until finally hit the Rainbow Mountain.
Once here, if the weather is good, you will enjoy the first views of the Rainbow Mountain. At the summit, you will have the opportunity to rest for a while to catch your breath and admire the spectacular views.
We will then continue our return journey to our transport and travel for one hour back to Cusi Pata, where we will have a buffet lunch featuring typical Cusco dishes. Afterwards, we will continue our return journey to Cusco, arriving at approximately 4:30–5:00 p.m.
