Once disembarked from the hydrofoil, again together with your tour leader, we will board the funicular to reach the historic center of Capri, and here we will make our first photo stop to admire the breathtaking panoramic view of the Gulf. The view of Naples, Vesuvius and Ischia will leave us speechless.
With a leisurely stroll we will discover the city center, walking through the maze of narrow streets that open like a labyrinth that surprises with elegant cafes, high-fashion stores and art galleries that have attracted entire generations of artists and illustrious personalities.
You will pass through the famous “Piazzetta” on maps marked as Piazza Umberto I, considered the island's grand salon, from where, especially in the 1950s, the most eccentric and sometimes scandalous fashions were launched, which made Capri famous throughout the world.
The main architectural element of the Square is undoubtedly the 17th-century Clock Tower. In the same Piazzetta we will also find the Church of Santo Stefano, the largest on the island.
Continuing the walk, we will pass through Via delle Camerelle, which takes its name from ancient cisterns dating back to Roman times now transformed into luxury stores; we will be enraptured by the majesty of the Hotel Quisisana still a destination of the world jet set, until we reach the valley of the Certosa di San Giacomo where we can visit the perfume factory of Capri: Cartusia, from which it takes its name.
From here we will move on to reach the Gardens of Augustus, a small paradise surrounded by greenery, from which you can enjoy a wonderful view of Marina Piccola, the island's ancient port, the picturesque Via Krupp, now a Unesco heritage site, and Capri's splendid Faraglioni rocks.
At the end of the guided tour, we will have free time to visit the desired sites independently ( as for example Blue Grotto or Anacapri )
