About this experience

Enjoy a wonderful day traveling with us in this magnify excursion to find the principal attractions around the Arenal Volcano in one day. Hanging Bridges is a great place to walk in the primary forest and see the wildlife of the rainforest. The Fortuna Waterfall is an excellent spot for pictures and swimming in her cool natural water; be prepare to walk 500 steps down an up.

After this two beautiful tours we will have a delicious lunch at the main restaurant at the entrance of the waterfall; Rio Lounge is located in a wonderful forest surroundings.

After all this morning we will visit in the afternoon, the old lava 1968 avalanche at the base of the Arenal Volcano with beautiful views of the Arenal Lake and the impressive mountains.

Thinking of the people who come to La Fortuna for a limited time, or who simple want to take good advantage of their time in the area, we have designed this alternative to show you the main attractive places around the volcano.

 There is no doubt that our forests is one of them, therefore we will first visit “Arenal Hanging Bridges” to walk through a trail crossing the forest and bridges that allow you to see plants and trees from high above, as well as animals.

 About 11:00am we will drive to the second place of interest, “The Waterfall”, famous for its height of 230 feet. There you can freshen up in its cool waters and take pictures of its beauty.

 At 1:30pm, it is lunch time. We will have it in Rio Lounge restaurant with 5 choices to choose and vegetarian options. Later on, around 2:30pm we will head towards the Arenal Volcano and do a hike on the trail called “Lava slides” and then get to the closer place near the volcano. From there the view of the Arenal Lake will be impressive, as well as the ones from the secondary forest, the areas devastated by old eruptions plus the fumaroles activity of the volcano it the day were with clear skies
