In northern Azerbaijan, our journey will take place through picturesque gorges and swollen rivers, forests to Khinalug – one of the highest, most remote and isolated villages in Azerbaijan, also called Caucasian Machu Picchu.

Khinalig Tour usually starts at 08:00 AM with picking guests up from their location within Baku. First stop is the Quba district which is best known for its production of incredibly delicious apples and fine carpets. It takes about 3 hours to get there. There we will switch our cars to Niva Ladas and UAZs, that are more convenient to get to them mountain village.
On the way to Khinalig village we will stop at Gechresh forest for a little break where you will have an opportunity to ride a horse (at your own cost) and take pictures.

Khinalig Village.
This little village is located at the distance of 8 km from Galakhudat village. Khinalig village is one of the oldest and highest settlements in whole Azerbaijan and Caucasus dated by some around 5000 years old. It is located high up in the mountains of Quba district at the height of 2287 meters above sea level. In Khinalig you will have some time to walk and get familiarized with the village. Its residents, numbering about 2,000, still retain unique cultural traditions and speak their own language.
After exploring the village local family will host us, so we will have lunch prepared with traditional Caucasian mountain recipe. All products used in preparation of the food is locally and organically grown.

At the end of the tour (approximately at 20:00) the driver will drop you off to your location in the city center of Baku.
