The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple and palace in ancient times. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, Sri Lanka. This holy place is one of the main tourist attractions in Kandy.

Royal Botanic Gardens located in Peradeniya is about 5.5 km to the west of the city of Kandy in Sri Lanka. This garden comprises of thousands of plants and rich with scenic gardens with breathtaking views lies in the Hanthana biodiversity area. It is near the Mahaweli River. Kandy is a large city located in central province, Sri Lanka. The city is set on a plateau surrounded by mountains, which are home to tea plantations and biodiverse rainforest. The city's heart is scenic Kandy Lake, which is popular for strolling. Kandy is famous for sacred Buddhist sites, including the Temple of the Tooth , celebrated with the grand Esala Perahera annual procession.

Kandy Lake, also known as Kiri Muhuda or the Sea of Milk, was built in 1807 by King Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe next to the Temple of the Tooth. Over the years, it was reduced in size. It is a protected lake, with fishing banned. The lake adds scenic beauty and cool atmosphere to the Kandy city which is mainly built around the lake.
