About this experience

In about 5 to 7 hours you will see the whole Austerlitz Battlefield which is about 12 x 8 km big and we will stop 8 x to see:

1, ZURAN hilltop from where Napoleon commanded the battle

2, SANTON hilltop - the French left flank

3. replica of a 8 pounder cannon in the village of TVAROZNA, diorama showing 1 500 soldiers.

4. OLD POST building near KOVALOVICE

5. SLAVKOV = AUSTERLITZ Chateau with an exhibition of Austerlitz Battle

6. Kutuzov headquarters in village KRENOVICE

7. Old vineyards

8. Pratzen Heights, with museum IMPORTANT: this museum is closed till Dec 2025, Cairn of Peace

9, village of of SOKOLNICE and TELNICE where the first squirmishes started

Lovely Austerlitz Chateau with a park where Napoleon spent time after the Battle

On top of the Pratzen Heights there is a museum on Battle of three Emperors and a Monument Cairn of Peace, which is a chapel

ŽUráň is a name of a hilltop from where Napoleon commanded the battle on 2 Dec 1805

Near village TVAROŽNÁ there is SANTON hill, the Frenmch left flank.

Near village KOVALOVICE there is OLD POST building, where Napoleon adopted deceiving strategy to abanodon the Pratzen Heights

We will stop about 12 times, but somehow TRIPADVISOR will not list me these places here...

I usually go to SOKOLNICE village for lunch, but there you will see Sokolnice chateau, granary and phesantry.

Near village Tvarožná = Bosenitz was French left flank. We will hike up SANTON hilltop from where you can overlook most of the battlefield. In TVAROŽNÁ is a replica of a French cannon and wonderful diorama with 1 500 soldiers.

We stop in the very south of the battlefield = at that stop we will see the places where the ponds used to be. In Telnice we might visit the church and the nearby parish, which is the centre of the old Sokolnice.
