Detailed itinerary

1

Tukad Cepung Waterfall was the most unique and magical one we visited. It’s becoming a hotspot amongst tourists, as well a very popular Instagram location. The walk to get down to Tukad Cepung Waterfall was straight forward and easy enough. Although, unlike most Bali waterfalls, this one you had to wade through a knee-high river and over a few rocks to get there. It took all of 15 minutes to get down to the enchanted location of Tukad Cepung Waterfall. If you’re lucky enough to be chasing the waterfalls near Ubud on a sunny day, then you’re in for a treat. The stunning sun rays shine straight through the top of the falls creating natural beams across the canyon like rock formations. You can swim in the waterfall and get pretty close without getting too wet from the spray, so get your cameras ready.

2

Tibumana Waterfall is one of the most popular Bali Places of Interest unlike most waterfalls, about 2 minutes before you arrive at the car park for the falls, you will come across possibly the best palm tree lined road in all of Bali, be sure to stop here to take some happy snaps. The waterfall is not a touristic hot spot as of yet, but thanks to Instagram this location is slowly getting more and more popular.

3
Stop 3

Hidden deep in the jungles of Ubud region, Kanto Lampo Waterfall can be a great sight fir exploration. This scenic, seasonal waterfall with its water cascading down a stepped rick formation is a stunning view to behold. Located in the village of Gianyar, this waterfall is also very easy to get to. Unlike other waterfalls, you don’t have to go through miles and miles of hiking and trekking. Within 15 minutes, you will reach the spot of the waterfall. The slightly under the radar location of Kanto Lampo adds to its uniqueness. The source of water unlike pther waterfalls im the Bali region is a dam and this waterfall is absolutely new. But this formation of a new waterfall turned out to be a boon for the local villagers. As many tourists keep coming to visit this waterfall, the income of the villagers increases somewhat. If you are a photography enthusiast, you can climb up the rocks on the top of the waterfall and get some nice, Instagram worthy pictures.

4
Stop 4

Tegenungan Waterfall is one for nature lovers who happen to be staying in Ubud or have neighbouring Sukawati among their tour itineraries. The falls are conveniently located halfway between Ubud and Bali’s provincial capital of Denpasar, and is considered the closest natural attraction of its kind that you can reach within only a half-hour transfer southeast from Ubud town. Getting to the falls is a pleasant drive down paved village roads lined with stretches of green rice fields on both sides. The falls are only several minutes’ walk down the trail beyond the shops, where you’ll enjoy the impressively green valley panorama with cascading water as a centrepiece. Dense foliage frames the falls, and the water volume is impressive at almost any time of year, but normally at its strongest during the wet season (October to April). You can go down to the vast pebbly base and enjoy a dip in the plunge pool, but this is not advised after heavy downpours, due to the risk of flash floods.
