The tour is designed for those who have very limited time in Chengdu but want to include a visit to Mount Emei. To make this happen, you will take the early morning high speed train to Mount Emei, and take the late afternoon or evening train back to Chengdu. At Mount Emei, you will travel up to Golden Summit where you will have the panoramic view of Mount Emei.
Stands at 3099 meters (10,167 feet) in the western rim of Sichuan basin, Mount Emei is one of the four scared Buddhist Mountains in China with over 2000 years Buddhism history. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site well-known for its breathtaking scenery, mysterious natural wonders, extensive Buddhist culture, abundant range of species and unique landforms.
Attention: You need to prepare that there could be a long queue for the cable car at the Golden Summit in the summer holiday of the months from June to August. If you want to a more relaxing trip, then this tour may not be a good fit for you.

Early morning around 6:20-6:30m to be met at your hotel lobby by your guide and head to Chengdu Eastern train station for the high speed train to Mount Emei (departs at 7:07am-arrives at 08:39am, duration 1 hour 24 minutes), enjoy the beautiful countryside views on your train ride. Upon your arrival at Emeishan train station, take a taxi or minivan to Emeishan Tourist Center (just depends on how many people in your group) to start your exploration of Mount Emei.
Firstly take the local sightseeing bus to Leidongping (about 1.5 hours), then hike about 30 minutes to cable car station for the cable car up to Golden Summit (over 3,078m high /10,098 feet). Once you get to the Golden Summit, you will see a towering, multi-face gold-plated bronze statue of Puxian Buddha appearing in front of you, it is one of the tallest gold-plated Buddha statues in the world. Visit the Huazang temple and explore around to enjoy the panoramic view of Mount Emei & snow mountains in the distance. If you are lucky enough then you will also see the vertigo-inducing views of the cloud sea around the mountain. After lunch at one of hotels' restaurants on the Golden Summit, then take the cable car and sightseeing bus back down to the foot of the mountain. Visit Baoguo temple, one of the main temples at Mount Emei. Afterwards head to Emeishan train station for the train back to Chengdu(we normally include the train departs at 18:12, arrives at 19:32), your guide will take you back to your hotel by taxi or minivan just depending on the group size, end the trip.
