About this experience

During this one-day tour you will learn of Chichen-Itza as a new seven wonder of our modern World. It's believe the peak of Chichen-Itza happened between 600-900 A.D. when most of the main architectures were built; like the one known as “Kukulkan” (The Castle) that twice a year shows the descending of Kukulkan (Sun God), this is a calendar event that occurs in Equinoxes & Solstices only. Stop 1

During this one-day tour you will learn Chichen-Itza as one of the new seven wonders of the modern World. It is believe that the peak of Chichen-Itza happened between 600-900 A.D. when most of the main architectures were built like the one known as “Kukulkan” (The Castle) which twice a year shows the descending of Kukulkan (Sun God), this is a calendar event that occurs during Equinoxes and Solstices only. it is a complex of Mayan ruins in The Yucatan Peninsula and the most famous of all Mayan ruins in the area. The main sacred area of the city lies on top of another pre-existed city that time era is unknown. The massive main building of Kukulkan also known as The Castle excels the ancient city and is the one voted and selected as a new wonder. In this particular influences of The Toltecs Civilization can be observed all over. An organize and guided tour will be provided with important facts and history of the ancient city by a professional authorized tour guide.

You will visit and swim in the most famous natural sinkhole in the Yucatan Peninsula; The IKKIL Cenote. IKKIL Cenote is located in a vast lush protected jungle area just minutes away from Chichen Itza. In the premises of Ikkil you will also enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at a jungle surrounded restaurant. Thus you obtain ample of time to swim and enjoy Ikkil.

You'll also visit the colonial town of Valladolid. Here you will learn the history of the town and its main landmark; The Cathedral of San Gervasio; and Admire its beautiful architecture, located in the main square of the town it was built by priest Francisco Hernandez on March of 1545. Couple of centuries later It was demolished by Bishop Pedro De Los Rios Reyes after been desecrated during the event called “The Crime Of Mayors.” It was restored again in the beginning of the 1700's to the way we see it now. Since the old Cathedral was tainted a new orientation was given to this new one, this time facing not towards Rome as most colonial temples are, but to the North instead. This is one of many other reasons why Valladolid is also known as a Mexican Pueblo Magico. Feel the magic this place has to give you, appreciate and enjoy the folklore and lifestyle of the town.
