After breakfast drive to Kruja, centre of Albanian resistance against the Ottomans under our National Hero Scanderbeg. He kept the Ottoman armies from crossing into Western Europe for 25 years, thus earning the title “Athleta Christi” awarded by the pope of the time. We will visit the Skanderbeg Museum one of the best in the country and a rich Ethnographic Museum with almost all items being original from the end of the 19th century.
Finally we make our way through Kruja’s famous Bazaar full of traditional handicrafts. this is a unique opportunity for you to watch the craftspeople making the products inside their workshop.
Preza castle is one of Skanderbej's medieval strongholds. nowadays is one of the most beautiful viewpoints in central Albania. We can enjoy an Optional traditional lunch where we will try some delicious byrek, village sallads, Imam bajalldi, lamb and other regions recipes.
We will visit some of the remains such as the amphitheater of the 2nd century AD with around 15000 seats, the Roman forum, the archaeological museum with a magnificent collection of marble and pottery peaces from the very ancient times to later, the Venetian tower the outer walls of ancient Durres.

After the visits continue to Durres one of the oldest towns in Albania and the first and perhaps the most important of the Greek colonies in the country.
