Join us for a leisure river float where you can see flora and fauna of beautiful Arizona. Some of the endless possibilities for wildlife sightings could be otters, herons, eagles and wild horses! Enjoy the scenery of cactus lining the banks of the desert scape while rafting along the Lower Salt River.
The best-known segment of the river (formally the Lower Salt River) is located about 40 minutes from downtown Phoenix in Mesa, where visitors and locals go to explore the beautiful Sonoran Desert landscape.
The Lower Salt River is located within the Tonto National Forest. The Tonto National forest is home to over 400 vertebrate species and has a rich history of several prehistoric Indian groups who hunted and gathered along the Salt and Verde River.
The Verde River begins just southwest of Flagstaff, AZ and continues 195 miles through private, federal, state, and tribal land before reaching its confluence with the Salt River.
Check in at the Kayak check-in window for your rafting excursion. After you have completed the check-in process your guide will meet you and take you down for orientation.
