Detailed itinerary

1

The tunnel formed by the Corona Volcano is one of the most extensive and interesting on the planet. Along its route there are at least sixteen Jameos. The more than six kilometers of gallery extend from the crater of the volcano until it enters the sea in an underwater section of one and a half kilometers, called the "Atlantis Tunnel." Visiting the Cueva de los Verdes will allow you to enter and discover part of this incredible tunnel.

Those who do not wish to enter and pay the entrance fee will be able to contemplate and take photos of the impressive lava rivers that flow around them since the Cave is integrated into the vast and famous volcanic landscape of the "Malpaís de la Corona", quite a spectacle for the senses.

2
Stop 2

The Jameos del Agua are located inside a volcanic tunnel produced by the eruptions of the Corona Volcano. The Jameos are located in the section of the tunnel closest to the coast. They owe their name to the existence of an inland lake caused by marine seepage, and which constitutes a unique geological formation.

Those who do not wish to enter Jameos del Agua and pay the entrance fee will be able to see the "Jameo Rearo", which is free and is next to the sea. The underwater part of all these volcanic tubes is known as the "Atlantis Tunnel", one of the most important tunnels in the world. You can also enjoy some time alone at "Playa de la Pequena", located at the back of Jameos del Agua.

3

The Mirador del Río is located at the top of the Risco de Famara, at 474 meters above sea level, in the northernmost area of the island. It has a cafeteria with a glass window and a spectacular panoramic balcony.

Those who do not wish to enter the center and pay the entrance fee will be able to see the same views at the "Mirador Graciosa" located 50 meters from the Mirador del Rio. From both places we can contemplate one of the most spectacular panoramic views of Lanzarote: the Natural Park. of the Chinijo Archipelago and the Famara Risco.

4

The municipality of Haría is located in the north of Lanzarote, it stands out for enjoying a special microclimate that makes its lands the greenest on the island. This municipality is known by the nickname of the Valley of a Thousand Palm Trees; you can also find other tropical species such as prickly pears or cacti. Here, as a general rule, we will have free time to eat something on our own.

5

The Monument to Fertility, also known as the Monument to the Peasant. It is a construction of more than 15 meters, created by César Manrique together with the master Jesús Soto, from old ship water tanks, iron and concrete objects assembled, a magnificent reflection of avant-garde art, which has become in one of the iconographic symbols of the island.

6

How can the dry island of Lanzarote produce its excellent white and sweet wines? The answer is in the 'Geria'. Through a conical hole excavated in natural layers of volcanic gravel several meters deep, in the center of which a vine is planted, and on the edge of which a crescent of rocks is placed as protection against the wind. We will stop briefly at a winery to have a shot of wine and have the opportunity to buy a bottle.

7

The Echadero de los Camellos is located in the Timanfaya National Park, you can take a 20-minute walk along the southern slope of one of the fire mountains that surround the park that costs €11 P/Person. If you do not want to take the walk you can visit the museum which explains the importance of the camel on the island of Lanzarote.

8
Stop 8

It is the only national park in the Spanish network of an eminently geological nature, and was the result of volcanic eruptions that occurred between 1720 and 1736, and in 1824.

The absence of vegetation, the extreme roughness of the shapes, the variety of colors, the silhouettes of the volcanoes and the steep coast; They give Timanfaya an extraordinary beauty.

9

In this town we find La Laguna Verde, it is the crater of a volcano, formed in the strong eruptions that took place between 1730 and 1736, which has been partially invaded by the ocean. The other half moon, occupied by a black sand beach and a lagoon with emerald green waters - its color is due to a high concentration of algae - offers a beautiful and desolate panorama that has appeared in movies.
