Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

Beat the busy crowds and the hustle and bustle of city life as your early morning tour will take you through the Roman streets. Visit the Spanish Steps in the morning light to admire their beauty, before making your way through the winding cobble stone streets.

2
Stop 2

Your small group and expert guide will continue on towards the famous Trevi Fountain, and learn of the architect Nicola Salvi who built it. Pictures do not do the fountain justice, and seeing it in person will truly help you absorb the beauty and fine skill it took to create it. Enjoy capturing the moment with plenty of space and without the worry of other tourists in the way as you take advantage of the early morning hours.

3
Stop 3

Continue onto the beautiful Piazza Venezia with its grandiose Monument to the Country, the Altare della Patria - a monument built in the late 1800's early 1900's as a celebration of the unification of Italy.

4
Stop 4

Admire the Pantheon in the early morning light, You will truly get a feel for the local life here while most tourists are fast asleep and Romans are enjoying their coffee and cornetto before work.

A former pagan temple transformed into a Christian church, the Pantheon is nearly 2000 years old, and still an active place of worship today. Inside the church lay the tombs of famous Renaissance artist Raphael and King Vittorio Emmanuele - just to name a few.

Please note: Tours booked on the first Sunday of the month or on national holidays will not include Pantheon entry.

5
Stop 5

In Italy it's completely acceptable to have sweets for breakfast, and it wouldn't be a true Italian morning without a stop at a local bar for cappuccino and cornetto! With a variety to choose from and a cup of espresso or cappuccino, it is sure to give you the energy you need to enjoy the rest of your day in Rome.

6
Stop 6

A walking tour of Rome would not be complete without a visit to Piazza Navona - arguably one of the most beautiful and most visited squares in Rome. In the centre lays Bernini's Four River's Fountain, and surrounding it are the many shops, restaurants and bars that frame the piazza.

• ABOUT OUR 6 PEOPLE SMALL GROUP POLICY

In booking this tour you are guaranteed one tour guide per group of 6 people. Please bear in mind though that in order to accommodate traveling families and friends, we do on rare occasion make the exception of adding an additional one to two guests in order not to split groups who are traveling together. On that same note, you may find yourself on tour with less than six people. As we accept bookings in multiples of six, math doesn’t always work in our favor to help accommodate individual travelers and their families when on the same tour, so we hope you understand and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please note: Tours booked on the first Sunday of the month or on national holidays will not include Pantheon entry.
