This 2 days 1 night camping trip will give you the pure african night and day experience in the bush, interacting on close range with the world's most formidable wild animals, all in one camping safari package all inclusive.
Day 1
Trip commences at 0730. Travelers are picked up from their respective hotels and lodges around Victoria Falls to Chobe National Park (Botswana), through the Kazungula border post. The transfer from Victoria falls to the Kazungula border post takes about 1 hour and upon passing the border, travellers will be taken straight to commence their safari activities at 0930. Travelers will commence with either a 3 hour boat cruise or jeep safari into the Chobe National park. The river cruise is considered one of the highlights of the trip, as one gets the opportunity to get up close and personal with fantastic bird-life, hippos, crocodiles, and of course scores of elephant and Cape buffalo that make their way down to the river to quench their thirst. The first activity ends at around 1230 as travelers will take on buffet lunch at Chobe Safari Lodge. After buffet lunch, travelers then depart on an afternoon game drive or boat cruise - this being the best time to see Chobe’s large herbivores making their way down to the river to drink. Travelers arrive in camp shortly after sunset for drinks around the camp fire and dinner under the stars.
Day 2
Travelers are awakened early in the morning with a quick cup of tea or coffee and vehicles head off on an early morning game drive. This time of day is best for finding the big cats or the rare Wild Dogs as they are still active at this time and chances of seeing them are good. Around mid to late morning guests return to camp for a delicious “bush brunch” and a siesta getting an opportunity to read rest or take a refreshing shower. When the day starts to cool off another afternoon game drive follows afternoon tea, and good sightings are revisited or areas as yet unexplored are visited. Chobe National Park has a wide variety of game - the cats and large herbivores such as elephant and buffalo being a highlight, but rarer game such as Puku, Eland, Sable and Roan antelope along with many more common antelope can be viewed here. The trip will end with clients being dropped off in Kasane/Kazungula around 1630 and transferred back to Victoria Falls.
