Starting out from port in Flåm, where you private driver-guide meets you and takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the busy cruise ship destination.
Before your trip starts, the guide will you to Flåm enbankment and show / recommend places to go and things to do in Flåm. Flåmsbana Museum – dedicated to the famous Flåm railway – is one of the places you could visit after the tour.
Your tour starts: First, going by car via Gudvangen to Stalheim hotel.
At the bottom of the Stalheimskleiva road you are accompanied by your guide on a short walking tour to one of the waterfalls – the Stalheimsfossen.
Njardarheimr is the name of the Viking Village in Gudvangen. We visit the village with a guided tour and learn about the Viking history, culture and society, and take part in activities like archery and axe throwing. There are also some interesting people to meet: real modern day Vikings who come to live in the Village and engage in their authentic arts and crafts.
You have 2 options when visiting the Viking Village:
1) Regular: Entrance tickets to the Village are included. You can participate in a scheduled tour around the Village with a local guide.
2) Private Viking: Entrance tickets to the Village are included. Your tour around the Village is with a private Viking guide, who is with your party for a whole hour.
From Gudvangen your guide drives your to the Stegastein viewpoint at 2130 feet (650 m) above sea level, from where you can marvel at the view of the Aurlandsfjord.
From Stegastein viewpoint we take road down to Aurland – local administrative center – and back to Flåm, where the tour ends.

Arriving at the Stalheim hotel, and visiting the terrace for a stunning view of the Nærøydalen valley (the UNESCO World Heritage list) and descending to the valley on the unique Stalheimskleiva road – hairpin turns and mesmerising views of two waterfalls on both side of the road.

This cosy little village, snuggly located under the tallest waterfall in Norway, Kjelfossen (840 meters / 2755 feet), has attracted tourists ever since the 19th century.
