About this experience

This excursion will take you to discover the naturalistic part of Sicily. The itinerary begins with a visit to the Capuchin Convent in the village of Francavilla di Sicilia, famous for the internal production of essential oils. Continue towards the beautiful Etna village of Castiglione di Sicilia. Walk through the beautiful streets, small tasting of local cheeses and visit to the Castle of Lauria. Tasting of extra virgin olive oil accompanied DA homemade bread. Then we will continue with the tasting of Sicilian cheeses and ricotta (baked), where you will have the opportunity to learn about the traditional method of production of ricotta that has been handed down from father to son for generations. Lunch and drinks included (1⁄4 local wine and 1⁄2 water per person). Return to the hotel in the afternoon.
