Our main stop in the morning is the Khe Sanh Combat Base, a significant U.S. Marines base that was attacked by the N.V.A. Forces in early 1968, prior to the TET Offensive. The DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) is located in the rugged, jungle-covered mountains along the Vietnam-Laos border in South Vietnam.
