Originally established during the French colonization of Vietnam in the 1940s and later expanded in the 1960s by U.S-backed Southern Vietnamese troops, this notorious prison held many Vietnamese soldiers.
Our next stop will be the unmissable Sao beach, famous for its soft white sand and turquoise waters - perfect for relaxing and swimming. We will enjoy lunch and visit a Fish Sauce Factory, where the renowned "Nuoc mam Phu Quoc" fish sauce is still made in traditional wooden barrels, a staple of Vietnamese cuisine.
Finally, we will visit the largest Buddhist temple on Phu Quoc, Ho Quoc Pagoda, beautifully nestled between the mountains and the sea.
