What you'll see

Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire is designed to offer you a short but actual experience of African safari. Enjoy game viewing in the most renowned northern Tanzania national park rich in floras and fauna. Spot the tree climbing lions in Lake Manyara and visit the world largest crater the Ngorongoro crater which is the natural home to the rare black rhino. Finally you will tour the Tarangire national park and see the largest herds of elephants and buffaloes.

DAY 1: ARUSHA TO LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

Leave Arusha at 07:00 am with picnic lunch to Lake Manyara National Park. Drive for about 2 hours through the African Savannah land which is featured with scattered maasai settlements. While on the way you may also see some maasai people alongside the road grazing their livestock. Arrive Lake Manyara in the early morning hours and continue with game drive in the different areas of the park. The Lake Manyara has varied habitats which attract a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. Late afternoon drive to Manyara area for dinner and overnight at Panorama Camp or similar

DAY 2. FULL DAY SAFARI NGORONGORO CRATER

After breakfast leave the camp and drive through the natural and evergreen forest of the Ngorongoro highland toward the Crater. As you arrive descend 600m into this magnificent crater for a morning, half-day game drive. The crater is estimated to host about 30,000 animals including the remaining Tanzania’s black rhino. The common seen animals in Ngorongoro Crater include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. The crater is also host the largest population of predators which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater and then descend the crater rim for the journey to Tarangire national park. Dinner and overnight at Panorama camp

DAY 3. GAME DRIVE TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast, depart for the game viewing session in Tarangire. The park vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. During dry season the swamps tend to shrink and it attract hundreds of animals. This park is the home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings. Return to the lodge for lunch and after lunch depart for Arusha town.
