Udawalawe main attraction is the large herd of Sri Lankan elephants who call it home. With a large area for them to roam, it is the best place in Sri Lanka to see Wild Elephants.
Mean time you also can see some other animals and some different variety of birds too. Including a three hour Jeep Safari to see the beautiful elephants at the park

From here we start Safari at Yala National Park. It is a most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka. It is situated in the southeast region of the country, and lies in Southern Province and Uva Province. Yala National Park has a variety of ecosystems including moist monsoon , dry monsoon, semi deciduous, thorn, grasslands, fresh water and marine wetlands, and sandy beaches. The national park is situated in the dry semi-arid climatic region. and there are 215 bird species of the park, six are endemic to Sri Lanka. 44 species of mammals are resident in Yala National Park, and it has one of the highest leopard densities in the world. Sloth Bear, Leopard, Elephant, Wild water buffalo are threatened species. Toque Macaque, Golden Palm Civet, Red Slender Loris, and Fishing Cat are among the other mammals can be seen at Yala
