About this experience

Take a private tour to Kazbegi & Gergeti Trinity Church and explore beauty and superb nature of Caucasus Mountains.  This one day tour to Kazbegi & Gergeti Trinity Church offers stunning natural landscape with must-see cultural sights. You will travel to Ananuri castle complex which unites two medieval defensive towers, Two churches, and defensive walls. Afterwards, we travel to Gudauri and enjoy panorama views over the Caucasus mountains. From here, we depart for Kazbegi town and take a 4X4 drive to Gergeti Trinity Church or take an optional hike to the church (Distance 10 km). We also visit Gveleti waterfalls in Dariali gorge near the Russian border. In the evening, we travel back to Tbilisi.

Jvari Monastery – the early medieval age church (VI-VII centuries) was built on the top of the hill where St. Nino erected a wooden cross in the 4th century. The church overlooks the confluence of two rivers and amazes its visitors with its beautiful facades and geographical locations.

Anunuri Castle Complex – a medieval architectural complex unites two churches, several towers, and defense walls. Beautiful frescos, facades, and views over the Jinvali reservoir make a beginning a journey as a fairy-tale.

Gergeti Trinity Church- The church was built in XIV century, while its separate bell tower was constructed after several years. Gergeti Trinity church is located on the 2200 meters from sea level, right below the summit of Mt Kazbegi and above the small town of Stepantsminda.
