Discover one of Greece’s most treasured heritages- The Temple of Poseidon on our half-day tour.
Build in the 5th century B.C. on the peak of Cape Sunio standing at a height of almost 60 meters, the time-defying remains of the temples are entirely made of white Agrilesa marble.
Participants will be picked up from their accommodation in Athens about 40 minutes before 11 am on a comfortable private vehicle and then drive along the breathtaking coastal road, passing by the wondrous beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Varkiza all along the Athenian Riviera.
As we enjoy the wonderous view of the Saronic Gulf, we approach Cape Sunio and spot the white marble pillars of the Temple emerge.
After we visit the temple for about 1.5 hours and take in the magnificent panorama, we have time to
stroll on the rocky promontory of Sunio and its surroundings and, before heading back, we’ll stop for 2 hours at Anavyssos to indulge in delicious traditional Greek mezes, take a swim and relax on the beach.
