From the two pickup locations it will take approximately 3 hours and 20 mins to get to Yeongju, but will stop at a rest stop for a restroom break and for travelers to buy anything they need at the rest stop.
When in Yeongju you must have ginseng! The city is famous for its ginseng and this market is the largest supplier of it. As it has many health benefits and adds a great flavor for many foods, visitors should make sure to try it when at the market! As well and the many international and traditional foods available like tteokbokki and grilled meat as Yeongju is also famous for its beef!
This famous academy was Korea's first private academy and thanks to great efforts of preservation the site is in incredible condition that allows visitors to feel the historical grandiose of the grounds. And now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the academy is a must visit. As well as to the attached museum filled with recovered Joseon Dynasty artifacts.
While it looks just like a fun amusement park Sunbee World focuses on entertaining by teaching all about Korean history and culture through amazing live performances. The organization hopes to always keep Korean traditional music, dances, foods, writing, house style, and more alive for the public.
