Your tour begins as soon as you dock at the Le Havre cruise port. Our team will be waiting for you at the pier, ready to welcome you with a smile and guide you to your air-conditioned coach. Designed for ultimate comfort, the bus ensures a relaxing journey to Mont Saint-Michel, taking approximately 3 to 3.5 hours. Along the way, your knowledgeable guide will share captivating stories about the region of Normandy, its rich history, and fascinating cultural landmarks. Hear about the origins of Mont Saint-Michel, local legends, and the significance of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. To break up the journey, we’ll make a short rest stop midway, allowing you to stretch your legs and grab a refreshment.

Upon arrival, your adventure truly begins as you catch your first glimpse of this breathtaking tidal island. Often called the "Wonder of the West," Mont Saint-Michel rises dramatically from the surrounding bay, creating a scene unlike anywhere else in the world.

From the parking area, a complimentary shuttle (Passeur) will take you to the entrance of the island. This 15-20 minute transfer includes a short walk from the parking area to the shuttle stop. The shuttles are wheelchair accessible, ensuring ease of access for all guests.

Start your exploration with a guided walking tour of the lower village, led by your expert guide. Wander along the cobblestone Grand Rue, marvel at the medieval ramparts, and soak in the scenic viewpoints. Learn about the village's historic significance, its evolution through the centuries, and its role as a pilgrimage site. This portion of the tour does not require climbing, making it accessible for all fitness levels.

After the guided tour, enjoy free time to explore Mont Saint-Michel at your own pace. Guests have the option to:

Visit the Abbey: For those who wish to explore the iconic abbey, you can climb the 350 steps to the top of the rock and tour this architectural masterpiece. The abbey features Gothic cloisters, panoramic views and intricate details that tell the story of its spiritual and historical significance. Please note that the abbey entrance ticket (€16) is not included in the tour price and can be purchased on-site.

Relax in the Lower Village: If you prefer a more leisurely experience, explore the charming shops, photograph the stunning architecture, or dine at a local restaurant offering authentic French cuisine. Savor Normandy’s regional specialties, including savory crêpes, fresh seafood, and buttery pastries.

Please note that for ships docking 12 hours, there will be about 1-1.5 hours of free time, and for ships docking 13 hours approx. 2 hours of free time.

At the designated time, regroup with your guide and return to the shuttle stop for the 15-20 minute transfer back to the parking area.

After a memorable visit to Mont Saint-Michel, settle back into your comfortable coach for the return journey to Le Havre. Your guide will be on hand to answer any final questions or share more about the Normandy region. The drive back includes a short rest stop to ensure your comfort. Arrive at the Le Havre cruise port well before your ship’s departure, leaving plenty of time to board and relax.
