About this experience
Many tourist hotels in Hoi An put new bars of soap into every room for every new guest. Used soaps are normally binned, and eventually end up in landfills. With both Hoi An and nearby Da Nang as busy tourist destinations, one can imagine the enormous volume of soap which reaches landfills each day. But with a simple action, we’ve been able to reduce this negative impact to the natural environment, and to bring benefit to local communities.
By participating in this activity you’ll learn the art of soap recycling, and its benefits for individual families as well as on a wider scale.
