About this experience

Enjoy an exhilarating hot air balloon flight over Piedmont, the largely mountainous region that borders France and Switzerland. Admire this scenic area of northwestern Italy from above on a 1-hour flight, and float high above the vineyards of Langhe and Barolo as well as the city of Turin. Admire panoramic views of rolling vineyards, hilltop castles and the Alps, and toast the experience with a glass of sparkling wine upon landing.

What you'll see

Make your own way to the launch spot in Carru, roughly an hour from Turin, or enjoy a convenient pickup from your Turin hotel. When you arrive, meet your expert captain and crew and listen to a comprehensive safety briefing. Watch the inflation of the massive balloon, step into the basket and take to the skies! Each basket holds a maximum of 14 people and there’s plenty of room for you to sightsee comfortably as you soar up and away.

Enjoy aerial views of vineyard-studded slopes, villages and hilltop castles as you soar above the picturesque wine regions of Barolo and Langhe, home to some of the most prestigious wines in Italy, including Barolo, Barbaresco, Asti and Dogliani.

Soaring at an altitude of some 2,000 feet (610 meters), admire the Alps straddling Italy and Switzerland, and look out for Monte Cervino and the Monte Rosa massif, as well as the Maritime Alps along the French border. Then, float over the elegant city of Turin, capital of the Piedmont region.

Upon landing, toast the experience with a glass of sparkling wine, and then relax with a transfer back to the launch spot where your experience finishes. Alternatively, if you have booked to include transport back to Turin, finish your experience by traveling back to your city hotel.
