Detailed itinerary

1

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour start for check-in & training. Here, you will sign our waiver of liability, get your helmet, radio (to hear the live commentary), and meet your guide. You will then receive individual instructions on how to ride a Segway on our quiet and spacious training ground, and get to practice until comfortable. Don't worry if you haven't tried it before - it's very easy and most guests learn it within minutes.

2
Stop 2

We will begin the tour along the water in a car-free zone; this is a great way to start the tour and really get comfortable with the Segway. On this stretch you will see some of Copenhagen's most iconic sights such as The Little Mermaid (where there of course is a photo stop), The Royal Opera House, The Royal Playhouse, Holmen and much more. Your guide will tell interesting stories about Copenhagen via the headset radio system, which means less stopping and more Segway cruising!

3

By the Royal Playhouse - a unique glass building almost floating on the water - we will take in the atmosphere at Ofelia Place.

4
Stop 4

When we have past the beautiful monuments across the water at Holmen, we will take a photo stop with the incredible Opera House in the background at its waterfront location. Your guide will also tell you about the interesting story and astonishing cost behind this sight

5
Stop 5

Once we reach colourful Nyhavn, we will tell you the story about the most photographed place in Copenhagen and show you the residence of our beloved fairy tale king HC Andersen, and also where a quite prominent Dane lives. After Nyhavn we will head towards the inner city. Photo stop at Nyhavn is of course mandatory :)

6

We will take a short break about halfway through at the cafe in the Royal Danish Theatre on Kongens Nytorv. Here you can stretch your legs and enjoy a nice beverage or a traditional Danish pastry, if you wish. We have some special offers exclusively to our Segway cruisers, but no purchase is necessary. The cafe is run by the Meyer Group who was the co-founder of the famous Restaurant Noma - so there is a big emphasis on organic and local produce.

7

We will now head towards the inner city where you will really get to know Copenhagen. Highlights include The Black Diamond, The Royal Stock Exchange, a hidden garden, and much more!

8
Stop 8 Pass by

Christiansborg Palace (Parliament), is a magnificent highlight in the middle of Copenhagen where you will cruise right up to the entrance where our Prime Minister also enters. There are several photo stops built in on this stretch and since you are our VIP guests - feel free to tell your guide if you want to make more stops!

9

We will now head towards City Hall, Tivoli gardens and into the Latin Quarter.

10
Stop 10 Pass by

Tivoli Gardens is such a well-known park in Copenhagen. Your guide will tell you about this beautiful amusement park (but please note we will only take a look from the outside)

11

Your guide will also show you some secret spots and give you a great overview of Copenhagen daily life while you for instance cruise through the 'hyggelig' Latin Quarter. Our stories are light and fresh, but still with substance - like we all should be on a good day :)

12

We will cruise parallel to the long pedestrian street (Stroeget) and pass it, but as cyclists and Segways are not allowed on Stroeget we will not be driving in there.

13

As we make our way through the inner city you will see the Nikolaj Kunsthal - an art exhibition hall built inside a church

14

As we cruise by Magasin (our centrally located shopping mall in a beautiful building) we head out to Kongens Nytorv (Kings New Square)

15

We think it's time for a well-deserved cafe break and we do this in the Royal Danish Theater. We have some very special prices to our Segway cruisers on coffee/cake/soft drinks. Purchases are of course optional, it is also a short break to stretch your legs and use the bathroom. But if you wish it's a great place to sample some Danish delicacies in the bakery which is run by one of the co-founders of Noma.

16
Stop 16

After our cafe-break, we will continue the tour and head back to the Segway shop. But there is still plenty to see! On this stretch we will cruise by Kongens Nytorv, Magasin, the artsy Bredgade. We will then drive straight onto the square in front of Amalienborg Palace - the Queen's Residence - where we of course will do another photo stop. You can even pose in front of her Royal Guards and try to get them to smile - we dare you!

17

The Frederik's Church a.k.a. The Marble Church is a stunning monument right in the eyesight of Amalienborg Castle and The Royal Opera House

18

We then continue towards the Gefion Fountain, St Albans Church, the Churchill park - a beautiful green area of Copenhagen

19

The English Church is a beautiful quaint church just by the Churchill Park

20

We will cruise right through Kastellet (The Citadel) which is a still-active military area, and quite a unique experience to see in central Copenhagen.

21

At this point, your 2-hour Copenhagen Segway Tour will have come to an end. But please stay and enjoy a complimentary organic beverage (e.g. soda water, beer, coffee, tea) & you'll have earned yourself a fun Segway Souvenir!

We will also be happy to give you further directions or help you book any other activities you might want to try out here in Copenhagen.
