Itmad-ud-Daulah, often referred to as the "Baby Taj," is a Mughal mausoleum located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was commissioned by Nur Jahan, the wife of Mughal Emperor Jahangir, in memory of her father, Mirza Ghiyas Beg, who was given the title Itmad-ud-Daulah, meaning "Pillar of the State."
Constructed between 1622 and 1628, the tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah is renowned for its exquisite marble craftsmanship and intricate inlay work. It is considered a precursor to the Taj Mahal due to its similar architectural style and the use of white marble embellished with semi-precious stones.
