Vouliagmeni Lake Beach in Athens: In a mere 40-minute driving distance from the center of Athens, the beach of Vouliagmeni Lake is a popular destination for a high-end water experience. Vouliagmeni is a naturally-formed lake with lots of fish in its waters, while it has no shore but a diving pier! On top of that, a lifeguard is always present, making it a solid destination for families with young kids.
Lake Vouliagmeni is fully organized, housing an array of sun loungers and parasols surrounding a good part of the lake, albeit beach and sunbed access comes at a pricey entrance fee.
