If departing from Managua, you will meet your Guide at 9am.( Drive from Managua to Leon is about 1.5 hours)

 

If departing from Leon you will meet your guide at 10 am and will start a walking tour in the city visiting:

1- When departing from Managua. Will do 2 great stops ( picture taking from a beautiful scenery and Visit to a local family who where the pioneers of the trypical food "Quesillo")

2-The House of Ruben Dario( Museum) who was a great poet world wide recognized as the father of the castelian letters.

3- Main cathedral of Leon " Basilica Asuncion" built more than 300 years ago and will have the chance to walk on the roof where you can get stunning pictures from Volcanoes and the city of Leon.

4-Museum of Myths and legends "Arrechavala", where you will learn more about Nicaraguans traditions and cultures.( here is where the revolution fight started)

5-Once you are done with the city you can take a break and have a typical lunch at the main square by the cathedral.

6-Visit the Ruins of Leon. Destroyed by an eruption and earthquaque in 1610 where you can take great pictures from Momotombo Volcano that is only 2 blocks away from the city by the lake.

And finally at 5pm your tour wil be done for the day and is time to depart to your hotel in Managua or Leon.
