If you’re looking to go mountain biking in Queenstown or Wanaka, look no further than New Zealand’s highest bike park!

The Cardrona Bike Park features a variety of lift-accessed downhill mountain bike trails for all levels of rider to enjoy from flowing beginner trails to National DH level tracks.

With some of the longest vertical descents in the country, come & explore our alpine playground. A full day lift pass allows access to lifts daily from 10am - 5pm in peak season, 10am – 4pm in off peak (Saturday - Thursday) & until 8pm on Friday nights.

The Cardrona Bike Park features a variety of lift-accessed downhill mountain bike trails for all levels of rider to enjoy. With some of the longest vertical descents in the country, come & explore our alpine playground. Lap the lifts daily from 10am – 4pm & until 8pm on Friday nights.

On arrival to the mountain, your first stop will be the ticket office. Here the friendly staff will issue your lift pass(es) and can provide you with mountain info. Bike lessons, bike rentals and mountain carting sessions can be purchased additionally here too.

Under 6yrs & over 75yrs ride for free. Please collect a complimentary lift pass from the ticket office. Photo ID will be required.
Operates in diverse weather conditions, please dress appropriately
Make sure you bring sturdy footwear & clothing layers – especially a windproof jacket as mountain conditions can change very quickly

Meeting point

Cardrona Alpine Resort is located off the Cardrona Valley road, 14km up an unsealed mountain road. On arrival guest can park in our free car park then head to the ticket office to collect their lift pass. The ticket office is the first immediate building with red strip lights.

Important notes

Collect your lift pass at the Cardrona mountain ticket office, we recommend to arrive 30 minutes before you intend to hit the trails. Alternatively you can collect your lift pass before you arrive at Apres (50 Cardrona Valley Road) and get on the trails faster!
