Come visit Dharavi, the city within a city and one of Asia's largest slum. We shall cover places like The Recycling Area, Rooftop Visit, Popaddom Making, Kumbharwada Pottery Colony etc.

The area is an industrial hub and is home to nearly one million of Mumbai's residents.

The tour will end at our office in Dharavi where guests can enjoy a soft drink and learn more about how funds are re-invested back into the community.

Meeting point

The tour begins at the main entrance and ticket office on the West side of the station. To check if you are in the right spot, verify that V-Jai Restaurant and Bakery is opposite and Third Wave Coffee is diagonally opposite.

• Please note that dress codes are conservative throughout India; modest and respectful clothing that covers the shoulders and knees is required.

Meeting Point 1 | Churchgate Station: If you have chosen to meet at Churchgate, please be there at 9:15 am (if you booked the morning tour) , 11:15 am (for the 12 pm tour) or 1:45 pm (for the afternoon tour.) Churchgate is about a 15 -20 minutes walk from Colaba or 5-10 minutes in a taxi.

There are four entrances to Churchgate Station, including two subways. The first photo shows the station as you approach from Colaba and where the entrance is. Once inside the station, go to the book stall about 30 meters before the platforms. Look for the sign saying “Wheeler.”

Meeting Point 2 | Mahim Station: If you have selected to meet at Mahim, you will need to be at Mahim Junction Railway station at 10:00 am (morning tour), 12 pm (12 pm tour) or 2:30 pm (afternoon tour), or 3.45pm (evening). We meet at the main entrance and ticket office on the West side of the station (photo 1). To check if you are in the right spot, verify that V-Jai Restaurant and Bakery is opposite and Cafe Coffee Day is diagonally opposite.
