On our 3-hour Lower Garden District Walking Food Tour, you will savor foods from 5 uniquely different restaurants, mom-and-pop shops, and bakeries. We will tease your taste buds as you nosh on foods from award-winning food establishments. The Lower Garden District food tour gets you out of The Quarter and into a neighborhood the locals live and eat in. We savor foods like Korean BBQ, the best Jewish Deli Sandwich in NOLA, authentic Mexican tacos, a bologna sandwich from a restaurant named by Bon Appetit as the "Best New Restaurant in America," and artisanal doughnuts. Upon arriving at a specific meeting location in The Lower Garden District, you will be greeted by your lively, passionate, and knowledgeable food tour guide, ready to share the colors of NOLA culinary with you every step of the way.

Your guide will provide a warm introduction to the city and the neighborhood, outlining what is to come during your New Orleans walking food tour.

We will proceed on the culinary adventure, stopping at 5 unique food places that really showcase New Orleans culinary history. Between the food stops, your guide will narrate the quintessential history, culture, and food scene of one of New Orleans trendiest neighborhoods.You will be seated at 4 different restaurants for sit-down food tastings, and 1 tasting will be conducted standing on the sidewalk – hence our company name Sidewalk Food Tours.

Walking through the leafy, tree-lined streets amidst the towering antebellum mansions, you’ll see first-hand the Old World charm that makes New Orleans one of America’s most special cities.

The tour takes place right at the foot of Magazine Street, NOLA’s greatest shopping destination, with six gorgeous miles of every type of shop, restaurant and bar you can imagine. This tour features America’s most famous bologna sandwich, meal-sized gourmet donuts, and a mix of flavors from Korea, Vietnam, Mexico, and more!
