Taipei Grand Mosque is the largest and most important Islamic place of worship in Taiwan. Located near Da’an Forest Park, it was built in 1960 and designed by a Chinese Muslim architect. The main hall, with its white walls and blue-tiled roof, represents freedom, equality, and democracy. Inside, you’ll find a giant bronze statue of Chiang Kai-shek, where a solemn Changing of the Guard Ceremony takes place every hour, attracting many visitors.
