Cijin Old Street is a lively and charming waterfront street located on Cijin Island, Kaohsiung. Pier-2 Art Center was originally a cluster of abandoned warehouses at Kaohsiung’s harbor. Today, it is well known for blending industrial heritage with modern art, featuring both indoor and outdoor exhibits. Visitors can enjoy contemporary art, street performances, and large-scale sculptures. The center also hosts regular cultural events, art markets, and creative workshops, making it a popular destination for both locals and tourists.
Former British Consulate at Takao is a historic landmark located in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Built in 1865, it is the oldest Western-style consulate building in Taiwan. Overlooking Kaohsiung Harbor from a hillside, the consulate was used by the British government during the Qing Dynasty for trade and diplomatic purposes.
Today, the beautifully restored building serves as a museum and cultural site, offering exhibits about Taiwan’s colonial history, British-Taiwan relations, and maritime trade. Visitors can also enjoy stunning panoramic views of the harbor and sunset from the consulate's garden and terrace.
◆Please note that as the Former British Consulate at Takao is closed on Wednesdays, it will not be included in the itinerary for that day. Instead, an additional 30 minutes will be allocated to both the Pier-2 Art Center and Banana Pier.
Sizihwan Bay is a picturesque coastal spot in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, famous for its stunning sunsets, sandy beach, and historic surroundings. It’s a great place to relax, take photos, and enjoy views of the Taiwan Strait.
We will return to Formosa Boulevard MRT Station at 19:00 and to THSR Zuoying Station at 19:30. Travelers may choose to end the day's itinerary at either location.
