This temple was built by the king of Mengwi in 17th century located at Mengwi District, Badung
Regency and functioned as family temple that was dedicated to the kingdom’s ancestors. This temple was
also used as representative of the nine most important in Bali, so in that period people who lived in
Mengwi did not need to go too far for worshipping. The temple is divided into 4 different courtyards with
different level symbolizing 4 different worlds on earth. The garden in this temple is also beautifully
arranged that make the area more beautiful.
This lake is the second biggest lake in Bali which was formed by a massive eruption of an ancient
volcano. You can also find a beautiful Ulun Danu Beratan Temple which looks like a floating temple
during high tide. In this area is also found many restaurants where we will serve you lunch before drop
you back to your hotel.
The place is very famous with huge rice terrace in Bali and local people there still use traditional way to
process their field so if we are lucky, sometime we see people plowing rice field or planting rice. It is very
