Detailed itinerary

1

Humpback whale watching season is at its best in between mid January and mid April. You'll board the specially designed and built whale watching vessel at the beach for a 3.5 hour journey out to an area that has had many sightings.

The boat has an elevated fly-bridge giving the captain a higher vantage point and increasing the possibility of sightings. The captain will also try to coordinate with other boats in the area. Once whales are located, the boat will head out to where they are and observe them from a distance, being careful not to startle them or disrupt them, whilst giving you a front row seat to the greatest show on earth. Sometimes they will approach the boat and hang around for a while.
