At our next stop, Plaza Mayor, we’ll dive into Madrid’s rich history and food culture. Here, you’ll taste the city’s iconic bocadillo de calamares (fried calamari sandwich) paired with a local beer. We’ll also visit a historic tavern from 1860 to sample their famous, melt-in-your-mouth croquettes—made just the way locals love them.

Additional Information
In Spain, tapas are more than just food—they're a social and cultural activity meant to be enjoyed in company. Some are elaborate plates full of food; others are bite-sized dishes of olives or potato chips. Some are hot; some are cold. Rather than sitting at a table, people commonly eat their tapas standing up at the bar or at small tables. It stands to reason, because tapas are informal, and the bars are often busy.
We reserve the right to change both the route and places visited within the tour. Food inclusions are subject to change, dependent on availability on the day.
Please note that this tour covers 1.6 km (1 mile) of walking.
